President and Founder
Known by his peers as a visionary of television, film and new media, Paul Scott is the Founder and CEO of US Media Studios Inc., one of South Florida’s largest independent production companies. Located in Coral Springs, Florida, (near Ft. Lauderdale) the company’s 26,000 square foot state-of-the-art production studio/facility serves as base for over 100 Full Time and Part Time film industry veterans who create, produce and distribute top-notch content for broadcast across North America. The studio programs are hosted by well-known celebrities and the company’s production teams span the globe to highlight the latest topics, trends and technologies that various companies and industries are advancing today.
Paul Scott’s path to leadership mirrors that of the industry itself: continuously thriving. Prior to founding US Media Studios, Inc. Paul Scott had over 17 years of experience in mass media in C-level and VP roles in Programming, Media Sales, Distribution and New Media. Throughout his career, Paul Scott’s business initiatives were designed with one goal in mind: to bring timely, relevant information to viewers. His vision has resulted in a number of industry-leading innovations in television programming while catapulting many of the shows’ guests to new heights through positive brand-building. Paul Scott’s contributions have been integral to the company’s ongoing success. His direction and passion have become hallmarks of his tenure. He has infused US Media Studios, Inc. with his own brand of energetic leadership, vision and spirit. Paul Scott keeps a sharp focus on creativity, technical excellence and the ongoing promotion of internal teamwork.
Outside the studio, Paul Scott and his wife, Zoë, reside in prestigious Parkland, Florida. Now long-time residents with four children, they couldn’t think of a better place to call home. In addition to producing award-winning segments, Paul Scott and Zoë’s passion to help those in need is shown through their tireless work and contributions to several non-profit organizations throughout South Florida. Paul Scott has served on several non-profit committees; currently he’s serving on three non-profit boards and is Chairman of the Board at 4 Kids of South Florida (www.4kidsofsfl.org). Three years ago he and his wife started the Scott Family Foundation, which has assisted hundreds of homeless women and children through financial resources, and has bought and donated two homes to the less fortunate.
VP of Business Development
Lisa Vrancken is an award winning Producer and Senior VP of Production. With a degree in political science and economics as well as a background in law, Lisa used her business experience to tackle the challenges of being a Producer over a decade ago. She has been the Executive Producer and Managing Partner for Darshan Productions since 2009. She has also produced numerous television commercials, public service announcements, television series and programming across a variety of industry verticals. Over the years, Lisa has held numerous production positions for US Media Studios and returns as their Senior VP of Production to head an award winning team. Her broad perspective of this ever evolving media landscape will ensure a continuance of the high quality we strive for and an unmatched value proposition for our featured guests.
Vice President of Programming
Kyra Burton spent the first four years of her career as a teacher in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. As a member of the US Media Studios team, Kyra has held several positions within the company. Kyra was the company’s Production Manager for five years and was directly responsible for running all aspects of the department’s activities. While on the job, the company witnessed the successful implementation of many of the processes that are still thriving today. While possessing a strong background in all phases of production, Kyra has key experience in writing web content, magazine articles, commercials and training resources. She has written a wide variety of television segments that have appeared on regional and national television. Kyra currently writes a business blog that is published for one of US Media Studios’ popular shows. As Vice President of Programming, Kyra is responsible for ensuring that goals are met with the overall financial health of the company, including client relations, collections, strategic planning, and growth initiatives. When not hard at work, Kyra enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, jumping rope for exercise and keeping up with current events.
Vice President of Media
With more than 15 years of experience in television production, Gary Baris brings extensive knowledge of every aspect of the industry, from concept through on-air execution and media consulting. Gary was born and raised twenty minutes from New York City and received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration from the prestigious Villanova University, located in Villanova, PA. There, he earned Dean’s List accolades, and was also a founding father at Villanova of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Gary has been instrumental in the development of hundreds of celebrity-hosted television segments and programs over the years that have been recognized with several Telly Awards. As an innovator in the field of television program distribution, Gary possesses a unique knowledge base of global media opportunities and oversees a seven-figure annual media spending budget placing hundreds of programs on networks like ION, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Women’s Entertainment, Fox Business Network and CNN Headline News, among other major national networks.
Anthony has been in the television industry for nearly 20 years. He started his career with a show hosted by the great Charlton Heston, later worked with 60 Minutes correspondent Morley Safer, and most recently, four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw. Anthony is equally excited to now work with successful entrepreneur and one of the original sharks from ABC’s hit show Shark Tank, Kevin Harrington.
Anthony has the creative ability to bring a diverse array of stories to life, ranging from the latest in breast cancer technology and global energy innovations to great consumer products meeting everyday problems. Outside of the studio, Anthony is heavily involved with his local church, Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale, and presently goes on mission trips to help the lost and the needy. He is married to the woman of his dreams, Alethea. They are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Olivia Grace and Aiden Grey.
Rob has spent over 8 years with the company, and he took a slightly different path to his position as Senior Producer. With his previous background in healthcare and technology, Rob brings added insight, experience and knowledge to many of the medical stories he helps create. He is also a strong proponent of environmental causes, including recycling, and his support for these issues is reflected in the segments he produces. Originally from NYC and a devoted father of 3, Rob recently moved into a newly built home in a sprawling new community. He is a serious Foody, loves music, travel and his dog, D’Brickashaw Ferguson. He’s also an avid tennis player and enthusiast.
VP of Production
Tiffany Davidson, a New York native, moved to Florida in 2001, where she began her career with US Media Studios. Tiffany has been with the company for 11 years and she has held several positions in various departments. Today, Tiffany is the Production Manager and oversees the day-to-day operations of the entire production department. As an integral member of the production team, Tiffany has developed new systems to streamline the production process. Since joining the US Media Studios Production department, the company has been the recipient of several awards, including 28 Telly’s. After working in television for a number of years Tiffany has developed a passion for the production industry and mass media communications.
Senior Post Production Coordinator
Scott has been with the company since 2009, but has been in the television industry for nearly 20 years. Scott spent nearly a decade in front of the camera, as a Sports Director for three ABC, CBS and NBC affiliates in Florida, Idaho and Texas, where he produced, wrote, shot, edited and anchored ten sportscasts a week. He is a two-time Associated Press award winner for best newscast and best feature story and has now won multiple Telly Awards. A proud double-degree graduate of the University of Florida, Scott is a diehard Gator. When not in the studio, Scott’s passions include college sports, especially football, movies and golf.
David received a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications with a Television Production emphasis from Oral Roberts University. For seven years he worked as a video editor in news (WFAA-ABC in Dallas, WFLA-NBC in Tampa and WTVJ-NBC in Miami). For two years he worked for Carnival Cruise Lines Video Services where he trained and supervised the shooting and editing of wedding videos. David is currently the Senior Editor at US Media Studios, where he has worked since November of 2002. He is the final stop in the Production Department and the final quality control for every show and segment as he formats them for national and regional broadcast. David also functions as Closed Captioning Director, as he oversees the closed captioning process and encodes the captioning to the shows.
New Media Director
Mike has been working at US Media Studios since 2002, starting as a segment editor. He arrived after working for one of the world’s largest Cruise lines, creating training videos as well as video elements for Vegas-Style shows that were shown onboard the fleet’s ships. He has produced a kid’s show called “Jelly Bean Jungle”, which was nationally syndicated for one season. He has also produced over 300 weddings. After editing segments for our Featured Guests, he added I.T. Director to his job description, helping to run the company’s computers, which number over 100. Add creating all of the DVD’s, MP4’s, MOV’s, FTP’s and any other acronym you can think of, and his days are “action-packed”. When he is not juggling these job responsibilities, Mike and his wife try to keep up with their 2 boys, aged 8 and 10.
Scottie Robert Scott
Vice President of Research
Scottie Scott is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was on active duty for 10 years and served in the European and Asian theaters. Scottie attended George Washington University and received his Associates of Applied Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force while in Germany. In 2001, Scottie joined US Media Studios as Vice President of Research. He is responsible for all the company’s research activities. When Scottie is not at work, he loves to spend time with his son, Jonathan, a security officer with the United States Air Force, his daughter Nicole and his girlfriend Norma.
Director of Operations
Heather Davis is both energetic and focused. After initially joining the team in 2007 as a Contact Manager, Heather has held a variety of job titles within the company including researcher, trainer and senior manager. In 2013, she completed her certification in Training and Development and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Heather is highly organized and used to taking on multiple tasks at any given time. Wearing many hats within the company, she has gained a special perspective on current trends in media in a variety of industries. A native Floridian, Heather spends her time volunteering, enjoying the outdoors and watching sports.
